Matthew on the Homefront

Well, Matthew and Stephanie came home from the hospital Wednesday around noon.  And wouldn't you know it, Matthew has got his days and nights mixed up.  He slept all day long and then wanted to stay awake most of the night.  Go figure!  But last night he did much better.  We gave him a bath and he stayed awake for the next hour or so. So that was good.  Then he was a little fussy, more or less just whining a little, for the first shift, Midnight to 1 AM.  Then he slept until his feeding time, every three hours.  He'd wake up just to eat and then go back to sleep.  Of course Matthew slept good for Kathy (Stephanie's Mom).  Talk about brown-nosing!

He is so cute, not that I am partial or anything .  Anyway, he and momma are doing great.  Here are some more pics of the little guy and the family!

Well, it has happened! Monkey, er... I mean, Matthew Harrison Robinson has arrived!! Praise the Lord for a healthy baby boy! And when I say healthy, I mean, HEALTHY!! "And in this corner... Coming in at:" NINE POUNDS, FOURTEEN OUNCES, TWENTY-ONE INCHES TALL!! He was born March 17th, 2008 at 8:12 am EST. Anyway here are some pics, which I know that you are dying to see. It all began at...

Nathan and Katie were a little leary at first, but they warmed up quickly to Matthew. Of course Katie warmed up a whole lot quicker than Nathan did. But that is okay. Here are our three, WOW!!! That's right I said THREE kids!!!

So after a long day, Matthew was quite tired, especially from daddy singing, "Mathew, the Monkey Man, Swinging from a rubber band..." So he slept to get away from that annoying song...

And so did momma...

Well, Momma and Matthew are doing great. They are in the Washington Hospital, in Washington, PA. I hope that you enjoy the pics and thanks so much for your prayers.

Yet Another Update

Well, here we are again.  At least it’s not as long as the last time.  I have included some pics of the Finished Kitchen project in our home, for which we are eternally grateful, at the end of this post.

Tomorrow is the Day!!  Tomorrow?  What’s going on tomorrow?  Well, Tomorrow morning around 7:30 AM EST, we are going to become parents once again.  No, Stephanie is not ‘getting’ pregnant!!  She is pregnant, and very pregnant at that! The actual due date is March 26th, but tomorrow, Monkey will be brought into this world.  Monkey?  Who is Monkey?  Well, that is what we call the blessed bundle of joy!  Instead of always referring to the baby as a he or she (since we do not know what it is, Surprise!!), and we didn’t want to call the bundle an it, we decided on monkey.  So we will know tomorrow if it will be Kara Lynn or Matthew Harrison.  Yup, that’s right, we have finally agreed on a boy’s name.  Isn’t that amazing!  We have been ‘arguing’ over the boys name for so long.  Anyway, we finally got it down to Matthew, of all times, about 1 AM this morning (last night or however you want to look at it).  Sometime later this week, hopefully I will post some pics of the beautiful baby.  I know, I know, ‘famous last words’.  Well, at least it wasn’t no three months for the update, huh? Right Lance?

We are doing great.  Katie is so ready for the baby to come, in fact, she has been carrying around a baby doll these last couple of days.  She doesn’t usually play with her baby dolls.  Nathan, could care less.  Typical boy.  Oh well.  That is fine.  Well, I guess I should be off, no comments people!!  Later!

And these are the pics of the new kitchen!!

Well Here Goes

Yeah, I know, I know.  It has been forever since I have last blogged.  I have been busy, and I just haven't been doing much on the ol' blogging machine.  Has there been stuff going on? Well yeah.  Stephanie is getting a cute big belly as she only has 5 weeks and 4 days, but who's counting right?  Before you know it, Our little monkey will be here and then we will know if we are going to name it Jacob Harrison or Kara Lynn.  At least for the moment those are the names we have picked out.  Stephanie is getting a baby shower later on this month, which is going to help us out tremendously since we got rid of all of our baby stuff when we moved here just over 3 years ago.  I'll get back to that later.  But Stephanie is registered at Target and Babies-R-Us. Well since she works at Target she is always printing out the registry to see if anyone bought anything, she is very excited.  Big things have been bought and alot of little things as well.  She is so ready for the baby to be here.  She is experiencing some (sp?) Carpal Tunnel problems and she cannot get and stay comfortable for more than 10 minutes, which makes for a rough night of sleep.  Many times she sleeps on the couch.

The kids are doing really well.  Nathan is going to play Baseball this year and Katie has already had a Softball practice as well.  She is very excited about playing this year.  Of course Softball gloves are more expensive than normal baseball gloves, especially when 'someone' wants pink in it.  The kids are growing like weeds.  They went to the Dr. the other day and Katie is 66 1/2 lbs, while Nathan is only 52 1/2 lbs.  Katie also still has 2-3 inches on the boy as well.  They are both doing a great job in school.  Katie has only had two papers all year long that was not 100%.  Nathan has had a few more.  But they are both doing exceptional.

Me?  I am doing alright.  Last month I found out that I may have Crohns Colitis.  I gotta go to the Dr. next Tuesday and we will see what is going on.  Other than that, I have been doing pretty well.  Been sick the last two weeks, and finally my head congestion is finally starting to loosen up.  Hopefully all of us will be doing better soon.  We were all sick at the same time.  Bummer!

Three years we have been here.  We moved in on February 1, 2005.  Before we moved here the church put in about $10,000-15,000 dollars worth of repair into the house. Well, this year they have decided to put in a new kitchen for us.  We went to them about 3 months ago and told them that we would be willing to pay for a dishwasher if they would pay to have it put in.  Well, they came up with the idea that they would go ahead and give us all new cabinets.  Woo-hoo!!  So the cabinets have been ordered and the counter-top.  Probably in the next 2-3 weeks it will all be here and ready to install.  It is going to about double the cabinet and counter-top space that we have.  That is so cool.  Even better, we will now have a dishwasher.  Which will be so nice with the baby bottles coming soon.  Well, enjoy the update.  Hopefully it won't be another 3 months for the next one!

Catch-up Time Once Again

Well, here it is one and a half months since my last entry.  I am sure most of you are getting used to this.  I don’t want it to be that way.  I have things to say, but I forget for WEEKS on end to blog them down, and then I forget.  Funny how things work that way.  Anyway, Stephanie and Monkey are doing well.  We got to see monkey last Friday.  Monkey is healthy and everything seems to be fine.  Do we know what the sex is?  NO!!  I let it be up to Stephanie, and I thought that I would be fine one way or the other.  Well after seeing that amazing miracle of the ultrasound, I wanted to know.  Well, the technician could tell, but she wouldn’t let me know.  So I guess I am going to have to find out on the day it happens.  She is due March 26, and they are going to probably take the baby a week early.  So everything is good.

Stephanie and I get to go to a Steelers Monday Night Football game this Monday!!  We are so excited.  We got to go 2 years ago and that was so much fun.  Like last time they are going to be playing the Baltimore Ravens.  You will not see us on TV, although that would be awesome.  Our seats are in the nosebleed section.  Last possible row and two sections over from the end-zone with the scoreboard.  Really the seats aren’t that bad.  The whole thing is usually so much fun, and where we are, you can be sure that we will not have any beer spilt on us!!

I am sure most of you probably have no idea what the album is that I am listening to, but recently I have been reintroduced to Miles Davis, and I love it.  Mellow most of the time, especially this album.  But the music is great.  Anyway,  here are some pictures of some highlights of the last month.  Mainly just the kids. We did some fall pics of the kids two years ago and forgot to do them last year so we did them once again.

Doesn't she look so grown up?

She is showing a little :)

Here's Momma
